Cinderella 🥿 is dead (at least this year)

Cinderella is dead (at least this year). While there have been some entertaining games to watch, this Whitlock link echoes what we are all watching/feeling: "The best final four money can buy". NCAA should respect that the drama and the feeling of connection to this tournament is Cinderella. We are all Cinderella. I don't want to see Duke and their sixteen 5-stars and a token undersized 3-star off the bench win. I want Coach Norman Dale and the damn Hoosiers, and the runt shooting free throws underhanded to find a way. This puts a little wind in my storm-tattered sails, and makes a kid dream big dreams...

2025 Valspar Championship predictions, betting picks: Will Zalatoris among longshots to target at Copperhead

SportsLine's model simulated the 2025 Valspar Championship 10,000 times and revealed its PGA Tour longshots After what turned into a five-day Players Championship with Rory McIlroy defeating JJ Spaun in a playoff on Monday, the PGA Tour season continues with the 2025 Valspar Championship teeing off from the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, Florida, on Thursday, March 20. Spaun would have been a significant longshot victor at golf's "fifth major" at 110-1 odds before the tournament, compared to McIlroy who had one of the shortest odds of the weekend. Is there another sizeable longshot who can make a run and possibly capture the 2025 Valspar Championship?

Paul Casey (63) takes first-round lead at LIV Hong Kong

Paul Casey recorded six birdies and an eagle to shoot a 7-under-par 63 and assume the opening-round lead at LIV Golf Hong Kong on Friday. The Englishman is looking to overcome the disappointment of 2024, when a bogey on No. 18 at Hong Kong Golf Club knocked him out of a three-person playoff eventually won by Mexico's Abraham Ancer. Chasing Casey is a pack of six players, all two shots back after rounds of 65. In that group are Spaniards Sergio Garcia and Luis Masaveu, Sebastian Munoz of Colombia, Martin Kaymer of Germany, Peter Uihlein and wild-card player Chieh-Po Lee, the LIV Golf Promotions winner from Taiwan.

Arnold Palmer Invitational: PGA Tour stars struggle early at Bay Hill

If you take a look at the Arnold Palmer Invitational leaderboard right now, you’ll see a surprising few numbers. Comparing last week’s Cognizant Classic (even just the opening round) with this week’s opener at Bay Hill paints a very different picture of golf. Last week, someone almost tied the scoring record and ended up recording the 15th sub-60 score in PGA Tour history. The entire field was playing very well at PGA National. This week at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, no one’s come close to that level of play.
