Masters Top 6 - less than 3 weeks away

Masters Top 6 - less than 3 weeks away
Who do you like in the 2025 Masters?

Previewing my top 6 with 19 days until the first ball is in the air!

1. Scottie Scheffler - Defending champ, best player in the world, healthy, happy.  Probably won't get arrested in Augusta parking lot.  What is not to like about the best player in the world?

2. Rory McIlroy - Probably 1B.  The only reason he isn't #1 is the propensity to have nerves interfere with his prodigious talent at Augusta.  The guy wins every month, everywhere—except in April and except at Augusta. But he'll be there this year; he's playing too well. Can he win?

3. Collin Morikawa - Is there a better ball-striker with irons on the planet over the last 18 months? Is there a more consistent player during that time? Collin hasn't found the winner’s circle but seems to knock on the door every week, regardless of the venue. He loves tough tracks and is no stranger to major wins.

4. Joaquin Niemann - All the anti-LIV fans are going to throw tomatoes 🍅🍅-- yeah, yeah, I know.  But this kid is not even close to his prime yet at age 26 and on the rise. First at Adelaide (arguably LIV's biggest tournament, certainly the most fans and raucous atmosphere), first at Singapore in mid-March. 59 and a win at Mayakoba in Feb 2024, along with another win in Jeddah.  2 PGATour wins before that. The kid is learning how to win, and there's nobody with more talent.

5. Bryson DeChambeau - The reigning US Open champion with prodigious power has had Augusta on his radar for a lifetime, and he has recently learned how to play well there -- t-6th last year with an opening round 65.  If you watch his interviews, he wants this one as much as any tournament, and he's flying a bit under the radar (if that's possible for Bryson).

6. TBD. Rahm? Xander?  Aberg to repeat his success from 2024?  Koepka finds a spark as he always does in the majors?  This 6th pick is tough.  For the EyeOnMajors game, we will probably pick someone who is most likely to make the cut (the most challenging part of the game: ), but for the win, will this 6th person emerge in the 16 days ahead?  A great ball-striker or a reliable short game?  We will be watching closely!
